Who I am

My name is Jay Deiman. I've been in the computer biz for quite a few years now and I've worn a lot of hats in that time. I've worked my way out of the dungeon at General Nanosystems, did web programming on a contract basis, did some work on the U of M Carlson School website, slogged through tech support and systems administration at Visi and I've eventually gotten to where I am today as a systems admin at Qwest.

The getttilted site has been around for about 6 years now in pretty much one incarnation, the original crappy blue and yellow. I finally decided to pull the plug on that old site and go the "easy route" and install Drupal. I had looked at giving the old gettilted site a new face and reviving it, but unfortunately that site was written many years ago and, needless to say, my programming abilities have come a long way since then. I've got too much on my plate these days to spend weeks writing a brand new site from the ground up, so I said "fuck it", let's get something newer/cleaner in place while sticking with FOSS so that I can hack the hell out of it if needs be.
